Why Kits?

 

I started out with the intention of designing a nicely finished product (fancy box, flair, etc.) but soon realized that was foolish, for two reasons: First, the prototype became very expensive, very quickly. Secondly, except for the dimmer switch, the unit is intended to be completely concealed.

 

You might be shocked if you found out the scarcity and expense of some of the most mundane parts required for this very simple design. I have an ever-growing appreciation for the challenges of a small business!

 

Further, as a kit, you have the option of encasing it in a beautiful, ruby encrusted, platinum box, if you so choose.

Seriously, you can fit and finish any way you choose...or leave, as is, just concealed, as I do.

Contents and Construction

​

The kits contain over-the-counter and custom made components which connect together via the provided spring clips.  The LED assemblies are custom designed and constructed.  All parts are of top quality and construction.   I include generous lengths of cable which can be trimmed, re-terminated, enclosed, or adorned however the customer chooses.   I simply twist tie my cables underneath and behind the turntable and mount my dimmer on the rear of my table base.

Costs

 

I will always try to offer these Kits at a reasonable price.  As mentioned elsewhere though, the design does rely upon a couple of parts that are shockingly expensive for what they are!  As time goes on, I hope to be able to buy parts in larger quantities and discover further efficiencies so that the Kits remain an excellent value.  

 

 

Continuous Improvement and Design Changes

 

I will inevitably modify the design and packaging of the Kits along the way for purpose of improvement, cost effectiveness, adding other features, parts availability, etc.   However, quality will never, ever, be compromised in favor of profit.
